Restrictions apply to baggage according to the established limits set by cargo type and weight to be transported by the airline. Carry-on Baggage:
As a matter of security, it is forbidden to transport the following as carry-on items:
* Nail clippers * Nail files * Scissors * Knives or other sharp or puncturing objects
* Toys which imitate weapons
* Sprays * Blunt or Sharp tools * Weapons/ ammunition.
In the case that these objects are retained by security personnel at LAP, CORPAC and ADP from a passenger, he/she will be given a document called “Document of objects restrained from travelling in the cabin”. This process is performed between the passenger and the Airport Security Agents.
Checked Baggage:
As a matter of security, it is forbidden to transport the following articles as checked baggage:
Dangerous objects : All objects, substances or articles which could, by nature, put the integrity of the passenger or the development of the airline’s service at risk:
Defensive aerosols, firearms, sharp or puncturing articles, pressure containers, explosives, gasoline-activated tools, dry ice, liquid or solid flammables, ammunition, light tools, explosives, water reactives, poison, etc (see instruccion Booklet ).
Transportation firearms:
Under no condition is LC Busre allowed to carry armed passengers inside the aircraft. Nevertheless, the transportation of weapons is accepted according to security policies of the company:
* The weapon is received by the Service Agent in a designated zone assigned by Airport Security.
* The passenger must present his/her up-to-date license to carry weapons.
* The passenger must fill-in and sign the DECLARATION OF WEAPON TRANSPORTATION. The original document will be kept by the passenger.
* For the weapon to be transported, it must be unloaded and locked. Then it will be put in a locked safe.
* Bullets and ammunition must be transported separately.
Transporting fragile objects and valuable items:
Valuable cargo items are those that have a declared value
Passengers should keep in mind that the objects mentioned below will be put on board only if they (the passengers) can assume responsibility in case they are damaged or broken:
* Fragile objects: items that can be damaged or broken easily.
* Valuable items: Items of extraordinary high cost or value, or invaluable.
* Perishable items: Perishable shipments are those that, due to their nature, will spoil without proper care and handling, adequate temperature or environment. |
